ChasingBirdies have hosted tours to the Augusta National and US Masters since 2005. Over that period more than 300 Australians have joined us on what, for many, is the trip of a lifetime. The ultimate spectator golf course, the best players in world golf, a celebration of past winners and champions and the famous Amen Corner make the US Masters the most sort after ticket in world sport.
Australian PGA Member David Wren has hosted the group to Augusta National for the past 13 years and his knowledge of the course and the best spots in the local area is second to none. ChasingBirdies wants to take all the stress out of your experience so our point of difference with other suppliers is our attention to detail. Once you hit the ground David and his team have one priority and that is to make your Augusta experience a fun and memorable one. Our drivers are available 24/7 so need for hire cars or taxis.
Once you’re picked up from the airport there is nothing else you need to organise. Golf games, transfers, dinner reservations and best places to go in the area are all organised for you or your group.
Our “Bobby Jones” package includes hotel accommodation and is by far our most popular package. In our opinion the two days not to miss are the Wednesday and Sunday. Wednesday morning is the final practice session followed by the Par 3 Tournament in the afternoon. Wednesday is the only day you are allowed to take photos as well.
Sunday at Augusta National and in particular the final round excitement of the players taking on Amen Corner is not to be missed. The noise and atmosphere is amazing as the best players in the world try to make it safely through Amen corner without self-imploding. As we’ve all witnessed over a lifetime of watching the event anything can happen and normally does.
Our Sunday after the event is spent at our host house in Augusta at good old Aussie BBQ. It’s a great evening with likeminded golf enthusiasts from around the globe sharing stories of their week at the hallowed grounds of Augusta.
Please do not hesitate to contact David Wren directly with any questions you may have.
