Itinerary

Arrive Columbia Metro Airport – South Carolina. You will be transferred to the hotel. Just let us know your arrival time. If you wish to catch the same flights as us from Australia, we will give you the details.

We have mid-morning tee times booked at the Aiken Golf Club, and a casual 18 holes including carts is a great way to get the week started.

Attending the Par 3 tournament and final practice session Wednesday for some is the highlight of the week. It is the only day you are allowed to take any photos as past winners and the game’s legends tackle the famous Par 3 course. The Par 3 course is the prettiest patch of golf turf in the world and it will be a memory you will not forget when reflecting on your week at Augusta.

Golf at Woodside Plantation. We have an afternoon tee time booked at the Reserve Club at the Woodside Plantation. After golf we head into the bar to watch the telecast of Round 1 of the Masters. On the completion of the telecast we have dinner reservations in the dining room. It’s a chance to sample the country’s leading wines and maybe a prime cut US Steak. The Chef is considered the areas finest.

Attend Masters Day 2. Our recommendation is to arrive early and find somewhere on Amen Corner close to a scoreboard and watch the drama unfold. We will be able to give some invaluable insight on how to best view the tournament to ensure you know all the vantage points.

Play golf at Palmetto Golf Club – 9 am hit off. Palmetto is an Alistair McKenzie designed golf course. McKenzie designed Royal Melbourne as well, so his work is known to all of us. Palmetto is the oldest course in the area and you will love its old world charm. It feels like you are playing Augusta National, with its pine trees and undulating fairways. Jack Nicklaus has chosen 3 holes on this course in his top 18 holes in the United States. It is in the coveted list of The 100 Most Prestigious Private Clubs in America.

Attend Masters Day 4. The reason we have travelled half way around the globe has arrived. We can guarantee you will not be disappointed and you will have memories you will never forget. The excitement builds during the day to the point when the players tackle the most famous stretch of the holes in golf “Amen Corner”. It always produces something special. Let’s hope an Australian can again wear the Green Jacket and hold up the most coveted trophy in golf. If it is an Aussie we will find out where the celebrations are and head down there.

Depart Columbia Metro Airport. Pebble Beach option on the way home.

Pinehurst Extension Option

Following our week at Augusta, there is the option to add on a couple of days including golf at Pinehurst. If you are interested in extending, please contact David Wren by phone at 0418 335 261 or by email at [email protected] for details.
